It´s a Close One!
Slight improvements today, although not enough to get REALLY excited about, just KIND OF excited about. Marginally excited. We´re waiting for an ambulance to come take Daniel to another hospital for a second CT (CAT) scan. His white blood cell counts are down a little bit (from 15,500 to 13,700) which is a good sign, and his side appears a little less inflamed. We´re still praying for the hole in the colon to close and for the infection to continue to subside.
The Stinsons and I have been really encouraged by those emailing to say they can send money. As we continue to stay in the hospital, the costs continue to rise. I would guess the bills are up to around $12,000 by now.
It looks like I´ll be flying to Quito with the Stinsons on Saturday if things go as planned.
Eduardo left last night for Quito to look for work. We will miss his presense. He shines with the joy and peace of the Lord. I got to pray with him on the street brother-to-brother last night as he was leaving. It was a sweet time. I am very grateful for the wonderful people that God has brought into our lives through this experience.
